ഇങ്ങനെ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു കോടി വൃക്ഷത്തൈകൾ സംരക്ഷിച്ച് അതിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോയും,ഗുണങ്ങളും മറ്റു വിവരങ്ങളും വെബ്സൈറ്റിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച് UNEP(United Nations Environmental Program) യിലേക്ക് കേരളത്തിൻറെ സംഭാവനയായി സമർപ്പിക്കാനും ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. അതോടൊപ്പം കേരളത്തിൽ ഒരുലക്ഷം ഹരിത ഭവനങ്ങളും ആയിരം ഹരിത ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും യാഥാർഥ്യമാക്കാൻ വേണ്ട പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നു.
ആയതിനായി ഓരോ തദ്ദേശ സ്വയം ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും ചുരുങ്ങിയത് ഒരു ഹരിത ഗ്രാമവും ഓരോ വാർഡിലും 5 ഹരിത ഭവനങ്ങളും സൃഷ്ടിക്കാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.

ഈ ലക്ഷ്യം സാക്ഷാൽക്കരിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ കൊയിലാണ്ടി മുൻസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയിലെ ഒന്നാം വാർഡ് ആയ മന്ദ മംഗലം ഗ്രാമത്തെ, തളിർ ജൈവ കൂട്ടായ്മ എന്ന സംഘടനയുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ പൈലറ്റ് പ്രൊജക്റ്റ് ആയി ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.അവിടെ നിന്നും സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട 1092 തൈകളുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയ വൃക്ഷത്തൈ സെൽഫി റിപ്പോർട്ട് കേരള സർക്കാർ, കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത്, സോഷ്യൽ ഫോറെസ്റ്ററി എന്നിവക്ക് സമർപ്പിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
കേവലം ഒരു വാർഡിൽ നിന്നും ആയിരത്തിലധികം തൈകൾ അപ്ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ 19498 (15962+3122+414) link(https://dop.lsgkerala.gov.in/en/article/158) വാർഡുകളുള്ള കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒരുകോടി തൈകൾ സംരക്ഷിച്ച് അതിൻറെ ഫോട്ടോ വെബ്സൈറ്റിൽ അപ്ലോഡ് ചെയുക എന്നത് സാധ്യമാണ് എന്ന നിഗമനത്തിലെത്തി ആ മഹത്തായ ലക്ഷ്യം സാക്ഷാൽക്കരിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിലാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
തുടർന്ന് ഇതിൻറെ വിജയത്തിനായി കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയെ പൈലറ്റ് പ്രൊജക്റ്റ് എന്ന നിലയിൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത്, ഗ്രീൻ ക്ളീൻ കോഴിക്കോട് എന്ന പദ്ധതി ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ബാബു പറശ്ശേരി ചെയർമാനും, കുടുംബശ്രീ, എൻ.എസ്.എസ്, ജിസം ഫൌണ്ടേഷൻ എന്നിവയുടെ ഭാരവാഹികൾ കോർഡിനേറ്റർമാരായും ഗ്രീൻ ക്ലീൻ കോഴിക്കോട് ഓർഗനൈസേഷൻ രൂപീകരിക്കുകായും ചെയ്ത് പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഈ പദ്ധതി ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയും ഈ പദ്ധതിക്ക് വേണ്ടി അഞ്ച് ലക്ഷം രൂപ വകയിരുത്തുകയുമുണ്ടായി.
